Comrade Uttam Das, a dedicated leader of unorganised workers and toiling people and a member of the North 24 Parganas District Committee, passed away on October 17 after a brief period of illness. As per his wish, his eyes and his body are being donated. Adieu, Comrade Uttam Das! Com. Uttam Das's legacy will live on in the struggles of the common people for their dignity and rights.
